Honor Play10 Launched: Android Go, Expandable Storage & 3.5mm Headphone Jack

Honor has unveiled its latest entry-level smartphone, the Honor Play10, aimed at users seeking an affordable and practical device. Unlike previous Play-series phones, including the Play10C launched last month, this model is a 4G-only phone running the Android Go edition, optimized for smooth performance on budget hardware.

Performance and Storage

The Honor Play10 is powered by the Helio G81 processor and comes in two configurations: 3GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. Storage can be expanded via a microSD card up to 1TB, offering plenty of room for apps, photos, and media. While 4GB RAM may feel limited for full Android, it works well for Android Go’s lightweight design.

Display and Camera

The device features a 6.74-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels, offering decent clarity for everyday tasks. For photography, the Honor Play10 comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, both capable of 1080p video recording.

Battery and Charging

Fueling the Play10 is a 5,000mAh battery, which promises all-day usage. Charging is handled through a USB-C 2.0 port with 10W fast charging, providing basic yet reliable power support.

Design and Build

The phone has a slim and lightweight build, measuring 167.7 x 77.7 x 8.55mm and weighing 189g. It features basic ingress protection with an IP52 rating and comes in three colors: Ocean Cyan, Starry Purple, and Midnight Black.

Additional Features

The Honor Play10 also includes practical features for budget users:

  • 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio
  • FM radio receiver
  • Fingerprint scanner
  • Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth 5.1
  • No NFC support

Pricing and Availability

Honor has not yet revealed pricing for the Play10, but it is expected to be an affordable device, potentially offered as part of a carrier contract deal.
