Flipkart has kicked off its Big Billion Days sale with the Samsung Galaxy S24, now featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor for the Indian market. Previously, the Galaxy S24 and S24+ in India shipped with the Exynos 2400 chipset, but this new variant targets users who prefer Snapdragon over Exynos.
Pre-Order Pricing
The Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S24 is now available for pre-order on Flipkart:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹75,000
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹80,000
Interestingly, the 256GB version is priced the same as the original Exynos variant at launch.
Comparison with Galaxy S25
While the new Snapdragon S24 may appeal to some users, it competes directly with the Galaxy S25, which features the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and 12GB RAM at ₹75,000 for the 256GB variant. The S25’s upgraded processor and extra RAM make it arguably a better value, though some users may prefer the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for personal reasons.
Availability & Software
The Snapdragon Galaxy S24 (model SM-S921E) comes with Android 15 out of the box, compared to Android 14 on the original Exynos variant (SM-S921B). Note that the Galaxy S24+ will not receive a Snapdragon re-release in India. The Galaxy S24 Ultra already uses Snapdragon in all markets, so no changes are needed for that model.
Final Thoughts
Samsung’s Snapdragon S24 variant provides an alternative for users in India who prefer the Snapdragon experience over Exynos. However, with the Galaxy S25 offering more RAM and a more advanced processor at similar prices, potential buyers may want to compare both options before pre-ordering.
